Forza Horizon - March Meguiar's DLC Car Pack Review

Undecided whether to purchase Turn 10's latest DLC content for Forza Horizon, the March Meguiar Pack? Let me help you to decide...

1998 Nissan R390 (sample car, available now for free download) -
Starting off with this Japanese offering, what we have here is a car for all surfaces. The Nissan R390 feels balanced and responsive. Quick off the mark and with good speed on the straights. The only downside was the limited steering capabilities on tight circuits, the acceleration the car possesses makes up for this somewhat. Overall a good car which will keep you in contention in most races of it's class.
AG Rating 8/10

2013 Audi RS4 Avant
This Audi is a beauty, looks good, drives good, and will win you many races. Lightning off the line, she drives like a dream. Excellent straight line speed, good cornering and a tough cookie in close combat races. My preference was on the Asphalt, point to point races, where the speed of the Audi can be fully utilised. On the Dirt though she easily holds her own, an overall winner.
AG Rating 9/10

2013 BMW M135i
The BMW M135i has the makings of a competitive addition to the Horizon Garage. Particularly good acceleration and launch speed, at first you are feeling we have a winner here. Unfortunately the steering let the car down, heavy and cumbersome on tight tracks and some street circuits I was left a tad disappointed. Asphalt a little better than the Dirt but a struggle to win races. So it was off to the Garage! An Automatic Upgrade made little difference, upgrading to a higher class although a little more competitive, still not the performance I was expecting.
AG Rating 5/10

2012 Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG
This was the vehicle I was looking forward to racing. Initially it felt good, but that soon changed! Poor handling around the slightest twist in the road, slow acceleration there wasn't much going for the poor lady. Dirt Circuit racing was a challenge, but after the first lap it was a case of attempting to finish the race in the allotted time! Point to point was the best chance of getting in the mix for honours, but again hard work!!
So overall a disappointing attempt from Mercedes.
AG Rating 3/10

2003 Ferrari Challenge Stradale
We all love a Ferrari, and the Stradale lives up to the Ferrari hype. A really good Asphalt racer with good handling and top speed. Point to Point being my favourite with a good percentage of podium results. Surprisingly good on the Dirt too, pretty good handling despite a little of back end movement!! A good overall car and with a little tinkering in the garage can become a top Horizon addition.
AG Rating 8/10

2004 Peugeot 206 RC
This Peugeot is the surprise package of this months DLC. Tested on all combinations, the Mixed Circuit racing was where we excelled. Her looks are not as glamerous as other competitors but be rest assured you will love the performance. A little slow off the start but then she moves through the field like a knife through marg! Good handling and excellent tight cornering the Peugeot 206 RC has the ingredients to be a winner. One of the best 'C Class' racers in the game!!
AG Rating 10/10

So overall the Meguiar pack is a good addition to the Horizon series. I would definitely recommend tinkering with upgrades to get the best from the vehicles, particularly the Mercedes and BMW. Is it worth your hard earned MS Points? My verdict would be yes, go for it.
