I'm sorry to say that this will not be one of my normal, concise and in-depth reviews, simply because it is for Slice Zombies for Kinect, which is exactly what it says on the tin. In it you use your Kinect to slice the undead as they fly around the screen, along with coins and the obligatory bombs that you need to avoid. It is pretty much Fruit Ninja for sadists.
There really isn't anything else you can say about it to be honest. I wish there was, as it would make this review look a damned sight better than it will be, but other than the cartoon styled graphics, the monotonous tune that plays throughout and a severe case of boredom hitting after about 10 minutes there really isn't too much to see here.

The fact is simple. Kinect is a device that has never seen the potential since launch, hence why all consoles from here on in now no longer come packaged with it. The games that do turn up are more or less the same thing on a constant level and MADE haven't really added anything to a generic title to make me think any different.
The simple truth is that it will please kids and keep them entertained if they want to burn their excess energy (you know, the stuff we want to bottle up and use when we're over 40) or perhaps in the case of a drunken house party when you can't find Twister, or in this day and age, Cards Against Humanity.

For the rest of us though it will be something you won't really want to look at, considering the Absolute Gaming audience. We're all roughly in the 25 and above category and this will just seem like money you could have used for a piece of DLC wasted, rather than a game you'll get hours of enjoyment from. There isn't a great deal about Slice Zombies you can really say. It has zombies, it has coins, the odd bomb here to put you off and the ritual continues until you either get catastrophically bored, or get killed off via a random slash when you were trying to pick at your riding undies on the fly.
It is glaringly obvious that this is a game which was, at one time, an app for a Smartphone, but the powers that be thought it might be a great idea to transfer it to Kinect. I suppose this is good for the younger audience, as I have already mentioned, but the rest of us have moved on from Kinect, well, apart from those who like to use voice commands to record stuff. There isn't enough depth or content to keep you entertained for long enough either, and with the big trolley symbol rearing its ugly head before you even start anything, you know there will be transactions to buy other things at a later date, but will you really want to?
Somebody somewhere will like this game. Those busy parents looking for something to keep the kids in one room mucking about whilst the day to day things are done will probably find this handy. Everyone else will still be enthralled with The Witcher 3 or Project CARS to even take notice. You do have to be cruel to be kind from time to time, and this is one of those times. It is an app conversion and isn't really a great deal to shout about. It will no doubt be cheaper to buy it as an app FOR you phone, so you should do that instead and use the rest of that money to buy something nice, like a book or perhaps a cheap movie to watch. Put it this way, those things will keep you entertained for longer than this.

Summary - You can do worse than buy this, I admit, but you're clutching at straws to find them. Do yourself a favour and let is blend into obscurity with the rest of the rehashed gimmicks.
Another big thank you to the XBox Community for allowing us to review this.
