In our latest interview we caught up with AG stalwart DanLH16 to find out how life in Fantasy League 2 is going, and ask him about his plans to win the Club League.
You find yourself down in Fantasy League 2 this season, how did that happen?
After losing patience with FIFA 15, I found myself enjoying games more with 3 at the back. Just. But this also meant I suffered terribly from the pace issue on this game and conceded so many goals. Add into that the expulsion of Caws and Stevie my relegation, albeit unfairly in my eyes, was confirmed. In my opinion to be fair, a play off should take place between the Relegation Play off winner and the Promotion play off winner in future if this situation arises again. Why should I suffer because of another member?
You're the red hot favourite to win this division, will you live up to expectations?
I expect to win the division as does most of the league. However after playing TheAshCohen09 the other day I found myself impressed with him. He knocks the ball around well and uses the system perfectly. However FIFA is so erratic and unpredictable we just don’t know what could happen. I also expect YORKSHIREWHI7ES, Emotionalworm and ImmortalTanz to be sniffing around. Play offs will be interesting to watch this season. I don’t expect to be watching from the touchline.
Who are going to be your trickiest opponents in this League?
AshCohen, as above. I believe I have the formation to stop what Yorky found so successful against us last season. Tanz I beat last season even with that god awful system so I expect him not to be an issue to us as much as the other two, but I expect him to feature heavily in this race. The main problem will be scoring goals, no matter who the opponent is, last night’s draw with Worm was indicative of this, hammering away for most of the game but somehow unable to score. I think the problem might be Afellay and Bernat but I have a plan to sort that.
Who do expect to this season's whipping boy in the Fantasy league, finishing rock bottom?
I would have said deareststorm (sorry), I just don’t buy his talk about him not struggling this season, when I look at his squad it’s pretty dire. But niwintz could well be the guy this season, another poor squad with no money to invest, its going to be hard to earn points, I don’t envy either of them.
You managed to bag Villareal in the Club League this season, happy with that? Were they your first choice?
Excellent team. I didn’t realise how good they were, it was more of a punt after I was left with a choice half an hour to go. Fenerbahçe was my main target, but @Ljungkullen outbid me, then xi MAKO ix out bid him, it was touch and go what would happen next but I’m pleased we managed to bag them.
Who are going to be your main rivals for the Club League title?
I don’t believe Cheesey Crease will be as successful this season. He had the best team last season and used them very well, but now you see teams like Villereal, CSKA and Southampton. Although I expect him to be there and abouts. With him oBIGASHo is the favourite for me, he's got a very good team there and I can’t discount Markos6969. Should be a good season!
Would winning it mean less because your old adversary aaronc333 isn't taking part?
