After a fantastic season last year with Barcelona resulted in achieving the season long target of not finishing bottom was achieved, Barca had to pull an economic lever and release their manager who was swiftly picked up by a German team FC Hoffenheim.
Now the manager Brill does not know a lot of German, mostly just Nein! Which he thinks he will be shouting a lot at his new team!
So Brill has run the rule over his team and has decided he needs to shake a few things up to carry on the progression of last season, he was hoping to bring in a new keeper, some new defenders and a new striker in AG's mini TDD but alas that wasn't to be the case as the players he went for he was swiftly outbid on.
Not to worry he thought, you've got enough in the bank so he can use the transfer market and strengthen that way.... how wrong he was! As a short while later that horrible MarcusJonesy pulled the gun and shot everyones plans to smithereens by doing the dreaded scudo cut! Gone were the 2 deals that brill had lined up and agreed already and his plans to look at strikers as well.
Salvation was attained by agreeing new reduced prices for those players for when the window opens and even better he has managed to agree a price on a new striker as well.
The aims of this season are much like last seasons as Brill is aware he won't be challenging for promotion or playoffs but he will settle for not bottom again! I'll be looking to strengthen as the season goes on, there is one player that I want but the manager is currently being firm and saying he is not for sale... I'm hoping that will change soon enough!
