When Riverman took over West Ham wholesale changes were promised and quickly started with several new additions but it was the late season additions that really turned the tide. The playoffs were the target for the club
3 wins from the first 4 agsinst Red Rhinoceros and Chadji30 got the Irons off to a good start with Tosun smashing in the goals
A mid season dip followed and hideous forms in friendlies combined with a poor league run, with defeats culminating in a real low with a 7-2 thumping at the hands of DiodeX saw drastic changes needed.
Split games with Harryn9000 followed before further splits with eventual champion Jeffantony1988 where West Ham turned in arguably their performance of the season reversing a 2-0 half time deficit with 5 goals in 12 2nd half minutes including a hatrick for Tosun in his last game for the club
This is where the impetus changed and despite 17 goals the departure of Tosun and arrivals of Calvert-Lewin and Penaranda gave the side a fresh new look and Emotionalworm was despatched twice to seal a play-off place before consecutive losses to Jlizzle4shizzle ended the season
Finishing 6th in the final playoff place West Ham had the tough task of facing ThePacfish in the semi final and once again overturned a 2 goal half time deficit thanks to a hatrick from Calvert-Lewin including a golden goal winner
The final was against a Granada side led by payne wales who had taken 4 points from West Ham in the regular season
The Hammers once again trailed at half time to a well worked Lamela goal before the never say die spirit surfaced again and an unlikely hero was found. Badu, a box to box midfielder who was put up to enter the leagues in an ironic twist by Payne but signed by Riverman equalised. Badu then doubled the lead with a wickedly deflected shot before completing an unlikely hatrick.
Origi pulled one back late on and despite a huge amount of stoppage time, and aided by a couple of wonderful saves from Cragno, who was Riverman's first signing for the club, West Ham held on and sealed an unlikely promotion.
