After 6 short games league cup favourites Watford suffered a disappointing loss to challenge rivals TheAshCohen09. It was a end to end game with chances on both sides, but clinical finishing was the difference as the Germans march on.

After this there was calls for the manager to be sacked as he promised silverware and was out of the cup at the first hurdle, but the cries from the crowd came louder when Watford suffered a heavy defeat to the Swans.

The Watford manager promised this was a blip on the radar and sent a thumping message by returning the favour in the reverse fixture. Now after playing 6 games and three tough opponents Watford are sitting pretty and are setting their sites on silverware as League 2 winners.

IDanger IMouse spoke to press saying "if Pereyra keeps on banging them in, then i'm sure we have every chance of finishing well in the league. But we have some tough games ahead."

Despite recent contract negotiations by the board at Bordeaux, Jobi Juan has decided not to stay with Les Girondins and has left the club with immediate affect.

Jobi was out of work for only a few hours and has now taken over at Olympique de Marseille. We spoke to Jacques-Henri Eyraud the Marseille chairman to find out exactly what it was that attracted Juan to the Stade Vélodrome...

"nous lui avons essentiellement offert un approvisionnement à vie de chips de fromage et d'oignon, un laissez-passer VIP au meilleur club de gentlemans et le secret du succès d'aaronc333 au début des années 2010" .

In a recent interview Jobi said "I'm very happy to be joining this illustrious club. The tens of fans that turned up to my press conference really made me feel welcome here, it went all 'chateauneuf du Pape' as they say here. I'll be out on the training ground with the Creme de la Menthe of players that we have at our disposal. Bonnet de douche!"

Ahead of his opening clash in Club League 1 with his new team Galatasaray Balonga today launched a scathing attack on the Ajax board.

"I woke up this morning and turned on the news to see they've sacked my replacement already. What a joke. I feel sorry for the players and the fans who now won't even have a team in the AG landscape next season. We won the league by 15 points last season. What more did they want from me? I can't comprehend what's going on there."

Eager to move on Balonga was swiftly asked about his new team and the opening fixtures against Hoffenheim led by Berty44.

"Obviously this is a new team coming into the league with a new manager at the helm. In friendlies they've looked good and you have to be impressed by those credentials. I'm sure they'll be nervous though and they'll know coming to Istanbul is going to be tough. I'm expecting a tough set of matches but hopefully we can start the season off positively. If you want to be challenging come the business end then you need to hit the ground running."

When it started to look like a foregone conclusion, the fight to avoid the Wooden Spoon in the Club league just got that little bit interesting as Valencia finally recorded their first win of the season. Jobi Juan and his Bordeaux team were the visitors in a couple of tight but entertaining encounters, with the momentum swinging back and forth throughout.

Coach Big B surprising left star striker Zaza out of the starting 11 in the first game in favour of the in form Vietto, but it was Valencia's other striker Rodrigo that silenced the French fans in the first half with a stunning volley across the keeper as his got on the end of an accurate whipped cross from the right wing. The Spanish team had the better of the pkay but couldnt add to their tally, but for a change the defence helped out with their first clean sheet of the season. Bordeaux piled on the pressure as the game wore on, and even hit the post but could stop Big B taking three points at last.

The second encounter was as tight as the fitst with plenty of action but no goals. This time however it was Bordeaux that took the lead when a sloppy pass in midfield by Valencia gifted the ball to their opponents and it was easy to slip De Préville clean through for a calmly taken goal. The game continued with open attacking play from both teams and it ended in a thrilling climax as Valencia nicked a point in the 93rd minute. A corner was one and in desperation, the Spanish keeper Neto was send up to make a nuisance of himself in the box. He did much more than that however getting a great header on the corner, only to be matched by a stunning save from his opposite number Costil. The rebound fell nicely for that man Vietto who again tucked the ball in the net for another goal that could be pivotal in Valencia's season.
