I was lucky enough this week to sit down and have a chat with one of the newest whipping boys to the Fantasy League, and recent Member of the Month paullowes80. We had a chat about where he worked, what he felt about joining the Fantasy League, and what he thought of the Banker. Let`s get down on it.
Where did you originate from and where do you live now?
Born and bred in Newcastle and live just outside it in a place called Washington
What do you do for a living?
Work for Berghaus and Hunter Boot, and yes lots of perks working for them.
How long have you been playing FIFA?
Since it began, first off on the super nintendo, amazing to see how far its came,, always loved getting a chase off the ref to be booked haha
What was the first game you remember playing?
Atari 2600 and Centipede back then and way back then loved it how things have changed from cartridges for games and the graphics.
What`s your all time favourite game, of any console?
Championship Manager on the Amiga, spent many hours every day on that bad lad
You`re in the Fantasy League this season, Are you looking forward to the madness that is the FL?
Madness has already started hasnt it, my inbox is like Jordans mouth always full of something, On a serious note, yeah defo, seems a lot of buzz about upcoming players being release and the banter is top notch.
Are there any areas you wish to strengthen in your team, in the off-chance someone may send you a sneaky "hi mate" PM?
A keeper as I think is most people, but a decent centre half and a striker as word has it a winger is already on route to Lowes HQ as we speak for a medical.
Lots of blood and tears are held in the FL, and there are no friends, except the Banker. What are your thoughts on the Wa..Banker?
Yeah ive heard alot on this so called Wa..Banker, everyone seems to be his friend when they need him, but hate the guy when he comes knocking, Hoping I dont need to go knocking for a loan but if a player comes up, hey I will bend over as much as the next guy to get the money in.
You`ve been around for AG for a while now, what do you like about the site?
I think the banter is top notch, Storm seems to get a lot of it at him, but takes it well, Alot to get involved with, and always people about to help, or play ladders or just wind up. Top site and a nice Member of the month topped it all off.
I think the Euro sweep is a good touch and well drawn by our host TheAshCohen09 this morning, Italy not a bad result either.
Is there anything you would change or like to see added?
I think red cards in the leagues , maybe bringing a one game ban would stop people taking people out on purpose, yes I do it to at times. Add more to the bookies than just football, Like Golf & Tennis major tournaments say.. as lets be honest everyone always wants an extra bit of scudo.
