“The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel. It'd take you ten minutes to hack through it with this. Now, if you're lucky, you could hack through your ankle in five minutes. Go.”

With a Mad Max reboot set to be released in cinemas this year you would think the easy route to go would be to release a game based on that movie. Avalanche Studios disagrees though and their open world Mad Max game which was originally slated as a tie-in for Mad Max: Fury Road has been confirmed as a stand alone title.
A chequered history has plagued the game since its initial announcement at E3 in 2013. The original release date of 2014 came and went and in March this year the Xbox 360 version was canned with hardware restriction cited as the reason. At one point the entire game was scrapped and started over again after failing to live up to the high standards set by the studio.
So why have Avalanche Studios gone in a completely different direction and built a wholly original storyline for their open world Mad Max opus? Now is your chance to find out what really happened behind the scenes and how the game is coming along in another exclusive Absolute Gaming Q&A session.
