" Spare me the "good cop, bad cop" routine."

Batman: Arkham Knight's first DLC 'A Matter of Family', starring Gothams own Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl has finally been unveiled with a screenshot showing her in all her kicking ass glory. Set before the events of Arkham Asylum which means she will not be The Oracle as well. Teaming up with Robin to rescue her father Commissioner Jim Gordon, who's been kidnapped by the Joker.

'A Matter of Family' has been developed by Arkham Origins studio WB Games Montreal, and takes place in a brand new area called Seagate Amusement Park. It's in this nautical theme park built atop an oil rig that Batgirl will find herself facing a huge death trap created by the Joker.
“We wanted to recreate the feeling of being trapped in a bizarre and unique open environment playing a game of cat and mouse with the Joker,” Design Producer Justin Vazquez told Entertainment Weekly, adding that Batgirl will possess new hacking abilities to take down enemies, control objects and solve puzzles.
“Hacking is really what separates her from the other characters. It’s a gameplay mechanic with which the player can create situations for Batgirl to really shine,” said Vazquez. “Our intention was that Batgirl should be less powerful than Batman, but that Batgirl plus hacking could give her opportunities do things that not even Batman can pull off.”
Batgirl will be able to Dual Play with Robin, and the DLC will culminate in a tag-team throwdown between Batgirl and Robin versus the Joker and Harley Quinn. "Seeing these four iconic characters together at the same time will be a real thrill,” adds Vazquez.
Coming on 14th July for Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass owners (available for $39.99/£32.99), A Matter of Family will also include side missions, collectibles left by the Joker, and Easter eggs for DC fans to discover. The DLC will also be available separately on 21st July for $6.99/£5.59.
