Today marks the start of an important moment in the history of FC Helsingor. Come 3pm the Helsingor Stadion will be packed out as the Danish Vikings welcome Grimsby Town to begin their Fantasy League campaign. It's been an impressive pre season for the men from Denmark. The Fantasy King Of The Hill Trophy is currently in their possession after two comfortable victories. One of them being a 5-2 scoreline against oBIGASHo's Irish contenders Dundalk. The other being a 2-0 finish against a resolute deareststorm lead Gornik Zabrze. Now manager Balonga is looking to add the title he craves so so much.
"The aim as I begin each seasons is simple and that's to win. Obviously we know that is a difficult task as there is a lot of quality in the Fantasy League. I'm not one to start stirring the pot and take aim at other managers. I like to do my talking out on the pitch and I believe I have a side that can challenge this year."
As we sit in the modest 3 star Hotel Skandia deep in the heart of Helsingor Balonga is keen to stress how he isn't here to relax. "A few of the locals have been surprised I ended up in the Skandia but my job here isn't to enjoy a life of luxury. My mission is to succeed in winning Football matches. Plus the staff here are great and they do a great Fish and Chips so I'm perfectly content."
Conversation soon turns to managers within the league notably the ongoing feud between DaddyNJacob and aaronc333. Balonga wasn't afraid to have his say on the matter.
"I usually stay quiet when it comes to these sort of things but I think I speak for the rest of the league when I say I'm tired of these two trying to manufacture some kind of feud. I don't even think there is any animosity there to be honest. You've got a guy in aaronc333 who's been away and now thinks this is still his yard. We all know the yard belongs to the reigning league champion and that oBIGASHo so until that changes he should be a bit more respectful. As for DaddyNJacob he's already dropped points this season and he needs to be careful living in Buenos Aires throwing these obscene parties. What sort of example is that setting for his players and who knows what disease the man is going to get. I don't like speculating but I know DaddyNJacob is involved with the one off Corrie I believe her name is Gail Platt. I feel sorry for her knowing what he's getting up to in Argentina while she's filming back in Manchester."
After that bizarre interlude we get back to discussing matters on the pitch and a highly anticipated clash against @paulowes80's Grimsby Town. This is a manager Balonga has a huge amount of respect for.
"It's always a tough battle against @paulowes80. He's not one to chat a load of crap either. He's a man I have a huge amount of respect for. I know my side will have to perform well. We've got 2 League games plus a King Of The Hill title match to follow. The fans are certainly going to get their money's worth. I look forward to catching up with Paul after and having a bag of Skips and some Toast. Hopefully it's after we've picked up the points."
