Ahead of his opening clash in Club League 1 with his new team Galatasaray Balonga today launched a scathing attack on the Ajax board.
"I woke up this morning and turned on the news to see they've sacked my replacement already. What a joke. I feel sorry for the players and the fans who now won't even have a team in the AG landscape next season. We won the league by 15 points last season. What more did they want from me? I can't comprehend what's going on there."
Eager to move on Balonga was swiftly asked about his new team and the opening fixtures against Hoffenheim led by Berty44.
"Obviously this is a new team coming into the league with a new manager at the helm. In friendlies they've looked good and you have to be impressed by those credentials. I'm sure they'll be nervous though and they'll know coming to Istanbul is going to be tough. I'm expecting a tough set of matches but hopefully we can start the season off positively. If you want to be challenging come the business end then you need to hit the ground running."
