I sat down this week with aaronc333 who this week secured cup success, beating Burga boii in the final of the Divisional Cup. Let's see what he had to say.
Congratulations on your first bit of Silverware for the season. How does it feel?
Thank you. Nice to finally win something again, it’s been a while since I’ve won anything in the Fantasy League. I’ve been in a few finals in recent seasons, but never been able to get over the line.
- You’ve scored 7 past Burga, do you feel the game reflected the scoreline?
7 would suggest a bit of a battering, but we know what this game is like. I think I definitely deserved the win, Burga clearly wasn’t at it that night, to my benefit, but yeah, I passed the ball around well, and took my chances. All you can ask for really.
- Did you have to change anything in terms of the way you approached the game?
I never change anything, I’m very stubborn with my team. I play the same formation, with the same tactics, every game. If it doesn’t work, then it doesn’t work. I think I’ve played the same way for about 4 years now. I started making the odd sub here and there now though.
- What would you say was the closest game in your run to glory?
They were all different games, against 3 very good players. Paul is fairly similar to me in play style, just attack attack with the mindset of, if you score 4, I’m scoring 5. Makes for a good game.
TopCat was the closet game, he plays a formation you don’t really see much in the FL, 3 at the back, or 5 if he beats you and you wanna claim he’s defensive 
Burga normally likes to get the ball forward as quick as possible get his striker one on one with the keeper.

- What are your hopes for the rest of the season? Do you feel confident there might be some more silverware to come?
I’m doing okay in the league so far, 3rd in the table, 4 points off the top. I have got some tough. games left to play, in fairness, all the games in Div1 are hard. I’ll just keep playing how I play, and see where it takes me. I’ve always thought the lower rated player suit me better. Next round of the CL as well, so hopefully I can add one more trophy to the collection, before the season is over.
