Niwintz and Dangermouse ran riot in League 1 - both managers felt they had something to prove after disappointing campaigns in season 24 and they started with a bang.
The transfer admin from Northern Ireland was obviously still smarting after the play off defeat to Red Rhinoceros as he smashed last season’s struggler Wizzfox by 13 goals to 0 over the two games. The first game was 0-0 at half time but Niwintz simply turned on the turbos and didn’t look back. Kluivert and Kamano did the damage with 5 goals each !
Newly relegated Dangermouse didn’t waste any time stamping his mark on the division either with 2 x 4-0 beatings of SoggyCabbages , these two games went out on Mixer and Soggy kept both games fairly tight until the first goals went in and then he folded like a pack of cards. Soggy apparently had only 4 shots on target in total over the two games which left the Cabbage army very frustrated. Strikers Tosun and Toko Ekambi scored 3 goals each in these romps.
Currently sitting in 3rd place is fellow relegation man Big B who won 4 points against last season’s bottom dweller Tunners , Bri gave the man from Hull a 4-1 spanking in game one at the new White Hart Lane stadium after Tunners missed a couple of sitters. Game 2 was much tighter as Tunners’ Spurs team got a late equaliser in a 2-2 draw. The much sought after Lanzini popped up with a couple of goals for Big B.
We then have 4 managers sat on 3 points after sharing the spoils with their opponents , Pre season League One Title favourite Jobi Juan started off well by edging out Red Rhinoceros 4-3 in the first game but the Raging Rhino got his revenge in the second game clinging on for a 2-1 win , new man Rooney scored a couple of goals to lift Rhino spirits. Crouch terrorised the Rhino defence and scored a couple of goals while former Villarreal player Fellaini knocked one in too.
Now we come on to El Ragio , the game we were all talking about pre match. How many controllers would get smashed during this one ? Would the managers have much influence or would the Fifa Gods decide who wins ? They actually picked up a win apiece with Diodex getting the points in Game 1 by 2 goals to 1 and Burnzee getting some good revenge with a 3-1 win in the return.
Poor old Emotionalworm had to sit out week one but we look forward to seeing him in action next week.
