Korona Kielce had the toughest start to the season imaginable when they opened against the title favourites Galway United and their experienced manager aaronc333.
Kielce were expected to lose both games but caused a bit of a shock in drawing the game 2-2. The Irish side took the lead early on through Rolando Aarons, but a second yellow card on the half hour for Galloppa meant galway were down to 10 men for the next hour. Kielce seized on this and quickly scored with goals from Meteb and Maluleka to lead at the break. In the second half they squandered a host of great chances and Galway made them pay with an equaliser from Aarons to take a point.
In the second game, Galway seemed to have the Midas touch in front of goal and raced into 4-0 goal lead within 30 minutes thanks to strikes from Nem and Galloppa and a brace from Hoilett. Big B switched his shellshocked side around at half time but the game was over by the really, as Metebs late goal was scant consolation.
We had a brief chat with Big B before his next game, against the other promotion favourites, St.Pats.
Everyone expected you to lose both games against Galway, so were you happy with a point?
Far from it, we shouldve taken all 3 points from that first game, I know it helped playing against 10 men for much of it, but we got complacent when we went ahead and didnt finish them off despite being the better side.
Aaron said before that game that he was going to win every game this season.
He's a very good manager but I know that was just a bit of bravado for the press. He was gracoius enough to tell me after the game that we were the better side and that he was plased to come away with a point.
The second game was a disaster though?
No Sh*t Sherlock! It was like I'd sent out a completely different set of players in that game. I gave it to them with both barrells at half time and that seemed to wake them up, but its a harsh lesson in what happen in the Fantasy League when you have an off day!

As much as we'll ever be. Subz87 is a top manager and will be smarting after losing his first two games, Its going to be tough.
