1. About This Service

Absolute Gaming (absolutegaming.co.uk) is an online competitive gaming community operated by the site administrator ("we", "us", "our"). The community hosts EA FC and Formula 1 leagues and tournaments, along with an associated community forum at absolutegaming.co.uk/community.

By registering for or using this Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not register or use the Service.

2. Eligibility

This Service is only available to users who are at least 21 years old. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Your date of birth is collected as a mandatory field at registration. Accounts where the declared age does not meet the minimum requirement will not be permitted. We reserve the right to terminate any account where we have reason to believe the age requirement has not been met.

By registering, you also confirm that you are not prohibited from using this Service under any applicable law.

3. User-Generated Content

You are responsible for any content you post, upload, link to, or otherwise make available on this Service ("Content"). By submitting Content, you confirm that it complies with these Terms and all applicable laws.

You must not submit Content that:

  • Is illegal under UK or applicable law, including but not limited to content involving terrorism, child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), hate speech, harassment, stalking, threats, controlling or coercive behaviour, intimate image abuse, extreme pornography, sexual exploitation of adults, human trafficking, unlawful immigration, fraud and financial offences, proceeds of crime, drugs and psychoactive substances, firearms and weapons, encouraging or assisting suicide, foreign interference, or animal cruelty
  • Is defamatory, abusive, threatening, or harassing toward any individual or group
  • Is pornographic, sexually explicit, or not safe for work (NSFW) — all content must be suitable for adult audiences
  • Discloses the personal information of others without their consent
  • Infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Constitutes spam, unsolicited advertising, or deliberately misleading material
  • Encourages or facilitates any unlawful activity

You retain copyright over your Content. By submitting Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute it solely in connection with the operation of this Service.

4. Moderation and Enforcement

We operate an active moderation system to protect our community. This includes:

  • A moderation queue for posts from new members, which must be approved by an administrator before they are publicly visible
  • An AI-powered content scanning tool that monitors all posts and direct messages, flagging potential policy violations to the site administrator for review via a private admin panel
  • A user report system, available on all posts and direct messages, which is monitored multiple times daily

We reserve the right to remove or modify any Content at any time, with or without notice, at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms, without notice.

Where we identify content that we reasonably believe to be illegal, we will remove it promptly and, where appropriate, report it to the relevant law enforcement authorities, including but not limited to the National Crime Agency (NCA), the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), or local police forces.

5. Direct Messages

Access to the direct message (DM) system is restricted to established members who have an existing public posting history on the Service. Images and videos cannot be sent or shared via direct messages. The user report system extends to direct messages — any participant in a conversation may use the Report function to flag a DM to the site administrator.

6. Online Safety Act 2023

Absolute Gaming is a regulated user-to-user service under the Online Safety Act 2023, overseen by Ofcom. We have completed an Illegal Content Risk Assessment and Children's Access Assessment in accordance with our obligations under the Act. These documents are published on the community forum.

Our designated contact for Online Safety Act matters, complaints, and safeguarding concerns is: admin@absolutegaming.co.uk

7. Reporting and Complaints

If you encounter Content that you believe violates these Terms or may be illegal or harmful, please use the Report button on the relevant post or direct message. You may also contact us directly. All reports are investigated promptly. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days. Where illegal content is identified it will be removed and, where appropriate, referred to the relevant authorities.

8. Privacy and Data Retention

By registering, you acknowledge that the following data is collected and stored:

  • Your username and email address
  • Your date of birth (used to verify age eligibility)
  • Your IP address at the time of registration and subsequent logins

This information is accessible to the site administrator and may be used to investigate reports of misuse, policy violations, or illegal activity. It may be disclosed to law enforcement agencies if required by law or in response to a lawful request. Our full Privacy Policy is available on the site.

9. Account Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. If you wish to close your account voluntarily, please contact us.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the Service or reliance on any Content posted by other users. We do not endorse or take responsibility for Content submitted by users. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for matters that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Where changes are material, we will notify members via a forum announcement. Continued use of the Service following notification of a change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The current version of these Terms is always available on the site, with the date of the most recent update shown at the top.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from your use of this Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
