Newcastle United finally got their man today, completing a £15m transfer for Southampton midfield general, Oriol Romeu.
Manager BobBank was clearly focused on bringing his former player to Newcastle, throwing all his money at just the one target in the BFA.
“I got the opportunity to work with Oriol last season so I know the quality he will bring to this team. He’s great in the tackle and is usually first to the ball. As soon as I heard he might be available, I told the chairman that we had to go for him. With Dabo next to him and Dejan at the back, we have built a strong core to the team and I’m looking forward to seeing how they gel”
